Typically, this would be the material under the screen of an herbal grinder. Need to pack in more? Simply remove the loading spring connected to the chamber cover and double the amount you can pack in! Refer to https://skybluevapor.com/faq/ for more info on how to use your herbal atomizer.
For size reference, the following will display how many pulls can be expected before a repack is necessary, depending on the material used :
- Dry Herbal Flower : 3-5
- Dry Herbal Pollen : 4-6
- Pressed Pollen : 6-10
Due to the discreet nature of our pen, the dry herbal atomizer will be smaller than some users require depending on your needs and material available to you. This atomizer works well with the dry herbal flower but works best with dry herbal concentrate!

When I got this atomizer I was told it was not the best and the “dust” from my grinder would work the best….this thing rips! All I did was grind my herbs fine and it worked above and beyond my expectations!! Best herbal atomizer on the market for sure!!!! I’d recommend to anyone!!??

This herbal Atomizer works better then expected. Once you learn the right amount of product to put in it you well not be disappointed. This is one of the main reason i even Purchased my pen because they had all the different attachment!

I am not very satisfied with the herbal atomizer. Regardless of how fine I grind the flower, it has direct contact with the heating coil and instead of vaporizing, it burns. On the one hand, if you want to smoke your herb, this should not be a big deal and I can certainly see many situations where this wouldn’t be a problem. However, the whole point of having a vaporizer is for vapor – less smell, cleaner and easier on the lungs. This atomizer has failed in that regard for me.

While the herbal atomizer can be used with herbal flower, we do recommend to use “dry” concentrates which typically would be the “pollen” collected under the screen of an herbal grinder. This material pressed together also works well. We recommend the “dry” concentrates because this material is more suitable for vaporization in the smaller chamber the herbal atomizer has. The consistency of “dry” concentrates is also a better substance to directly contact the coil and create true vapor. I ordered this pen specifically for this atomizer because I was looking for a way to vape dry material. I’m not sure if I’m not using it correctly, but the herb, even the pollen, burns rather than vapes. Other than that, I’m very satisfied with the entire deluxe pen kit.

I ordered the deluxe skyblue vaporizer package about two weeks ago. When I received this atomizer, it seemed to have a problem and not work, but I contacted support and got an immediate response. They sent me a replacement atomizer, and I absolutely love it and would recommend it! I had a previous vaporizer that I was replacing and the skyblue vaporizer is much much better. Would definitely recommend!

There is no screen seperating the herb from the heating element so as others have mentioned you are getting more of a burning than a vaporizing effect. That reduces the discreteness of this particular atomizer. If you want to be more discrete I would suggest getting an adapter and using oil tanks.
However, the smoke created from this atomizer is still rather minimal compared to normal combustion methods for consumption. Worth having in my opinion. Also worth nothing that the amount you can pack into this is about equivalent to packing a one hitter and maybe a little more than that, especially if you remove the top cap.
